LARGE FORMAT INKJET
This process is used to produce large posters and exhibition material.
The machine is a very large version of home inkjet printer taking paper rolls a metre wide and 50 metres long.
The unit cost for these large images is fairly high due to the cost of materials, inks and time involved. Multiple copies do attract a discount.
We always recommend laminating these images: this protects the surface, slows down the inevitable fading and makes them easier to handle.
ARTWORK CONSIDERATIONS
The main consideration is resolution. It is often easiest although no compulsory (except when using MS Publisher) to produce an A4 document and specify which size you would like us to output it at, obviously it needs to be the correct proportions, ie, A2, A1 or A0. Do bear in mind that ideally bitmap images should be 200 dpi at the finished size. An 600 dpi image contained within an A4 document which you require to be output at A1 will reproduce at approximately 200 dpi. This can produce very large files!  Always use vector images where appropriate.
This machine uses CMYK to reproduce in full colour. Bear in mind the limitations. No spot colour option is available.
